Arrrg. Stressed. Very very stressed. Stupid Atlanta traffic. It really shouldn't take me over 30 minutes to get from the house to Emory University Hospital. I mean really. And stupid hospital. Telling me to just come on in to get my TB tests done and then when I get there say the paperwork wasn't completed or something stupid so I just wasted over an hour. And why does Employee Health have to be all the way in the back of the hospital and in the sub-basement? And why does the information lady tell you it's somewhere else so you waste even more time not going to right way. Stupid stupid people.
However,
YAY for Jackie coming to town. Very exciting. Lunch will be very very good tomorrow.

I need chapstick... How in the world do I keep finding myself without it. I'm amazed that it's even possible.
Think I should do the SBL conference... Not sure how exactly I'll get there and what not, Marta I suppose, but I think it would be good for me. Give me an idea if this is a place I want to be in 15 years or so.

Blah, the BoP is oppressive. I do not approve.
In other news, I believe Pastoral Care will be good for me and that perhaps I should do CPE after all, as long as I'm talking about messing with my plans and leaving next year for Scotland. We'll see if that one happens though.
And three cheers for a recovered mom who's complaining about doing a chapter of Hebrew a day.

I'm so impressed with myself. Why am I impressed you might ask. Well, because of the obvious - finally finishing my candidacy statements - and the not so obvious. And since I'm sure you're all dying to know, the not so obvious is my ability to be in spaces with people who's valuable parts I would like to cut off and refraining from doing so. I can also, on rare occasion, even smile at said people to throw them off the scent of my animosity. Oh yes, I'm amazing.

Thursdays are going to be long, long days... and 55 pages read by tomorrow? I believe a large and loud "dream on" is completely appropriate.

School hasn't started yet and I'm already stressing - well, mainly over my insurance and canidacy stuff - both non-school related items. Must have LOTR break tonight... feeling the need to be a little lusty :-).

Whirlwind weekend! Talk about busy - though we did manage to sit in Lisa's living room and just veg for a couple of hours. Much fun was had by all - movies watched, bands heard, things purchased. I now have new tennis shoes and a couple new cds - all on sale of course. Leaving on a jet plane in a few hours (unless the weather holds me back) and I should be in Atlanta in time for dinner! Arrg, school starts this week. Think I'll just stay in Houston after all.
